STRIKE ASSISTANCE LOANS

To: All UFCW Local 135 Members on Strike or Locked-out

Should a labor strike or lock-out occur, members of UFCW Local 135 may obtain a

strike-assistance loan from Rancho Federal Credit Union. These loans do require that

you be a member of the credit union, so we are urging everyone to please join now if you

are not yet a member.

Each union member is eligible for $1,000 for each year of seniority with the union, with a

maximum such loan of $10,000. Approvals will normally be routine and not subject to

calculations of affordability or debt ratio, though they will be subject to other conditions

concerning income and credit history.

With certain restrictions, if you have been with UFCW for one year, you could qualify

for a $1,000 loan; if you have ten years or more seniority, you could qualify for a $10,000

loan. The interest rate is as low as 9.75% APR*, depending upon your current credit

score.

For members who have an existing loan with Rancho Federal, the credit union will grant

scheduled payment extensions.

All UFCW strike benefit checks will be honored by the credit union to exchange for cash,

regardless of whether you are currently a member of the Credit Union.
