Dear Lucky/Max Foods Member of UFCW Local 135:

          The purpose of this letter is to provide an update regarding negotiations for your successor contract.  In our last update, we informed you that we had met with your employer and engaged in meaningful dialogue.

          We had hoped that the contract would have been negotiated and ratified by now.  We have been in communication with your employer and have stressed the importance of concluding negotiations sooner rather than later.

          At this point, we are waiting for your employer’s response to our wage proposals.  It is our sincere hope that the company responds favorably to our proposals.  Our goal is to achieve the best possible contract for our members.
