6/02/2007  Reports have surfaced that we have reached a tentative agreement on health benefits with the Supermarket Chains. 

These reports are totally false.  We have not reached any type of agreement with the employers regarding health benefits  Their current proposal would save them hundreds of millions of dollars, while the cost to you would increase.  Also, in the 3rd year of the contract, your benefits would be reduced, co-pays would go up, and weekly premiums would be implemented and/or increased.

We will not agree to any proposal that helps the employers while it damages our members.
